My self care journey started in 2016. I was in the middle of a divorce, and ended a toxic relationship. My nerves where terrible, and I felt like stress was affecting my physical health. I went to my family doctor and was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and Vitiligo. Both of these conditions are associated with stress. I decided I needed to create a peaceful environment and add self care to my lifestyle. I started by doing small things like positive daily affirmations, writing down things that made me happy, and my goals. I would do weekly facials, or pedicures at home. Every day I slowly created a peaceful place at home, but also mentally. All of the goals I would write down, I began to execute, such as going back to school, goals I had to start a business etc. Every day I felt stronger, and happier. Every month I'd accomplish something on my list and feel like I was closer to living the life I wanted. Every year I would look back and appreciate how far I had come. All of this started with self care. I seen a lot of women going through what I had, and wanted them to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Self care, and self love is the key. I am so passionate about what I do, and believe that it affects peoples mental, emotional, and physical health.
